View Agenda Here BACK OFF BIG OIL In November, California voters will consider a referendum on Senate Bill 1137, a law that bans oil drilling within 3,200 feet of homes, schools, and hospitals. Thanks to the activism and constant drumbeat of Youth V. Oil, a group of young climate leaders pushing for the California State Legislator and Governor Newsom to act on climate, phase out fossil fuels, and stop oil drilling in California, this environmental safeguard was made possible. We must preserve SB 1137 and “Keep the Law.” Resolution in Support of Upholding SB 1137 NEW: PUBLIC SAFETY TOOL Public safety is a top priority for D1 constituents and at City Hall. Residents and businesses can stay informed with the new Neighborhood Crime Dashboard. The site provides a general location and makeup of reported crimes across the City of San Diego. View Dashboard DENIM DAY AT CITY HALL There is no excuse and never an invitation to rape. In partnership with Mayor Gloria and City Attorney Elliott, the City Council proclaimed April 24 as Denim Day in San Diego in observance of the worldwide movement to raise awareness and support sexual violence survivors. City Hall gathered in our jeans in support.
