Hey, John — check out this headline from MSNBC:
Workers at a Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee overwhelmingly voted to join the United Auto Workers union last week — despite 6 Republican governors trying to scare them into voting no.
These Republicans’ fearmongering made even clearer what we already knew: that the GOP is the party of the ultra-wealthy and powerful, not the party of working people. They’ve fought for decades, from state legislatures to Capitol Hill, to weaken our right to organize and keep power in the hands of CEOs.
To elect representatives who will fight for workers everywhere and pass policies to support organized labor, donate and fuel our organizing for Working Families champions today.

Last week’s vote made massive waves in the labor movement.
The South has historically been a tough terrain for labor organizing, with the percentage of Southern workers in a union last year barely hitting 1/3 of the national average. But following massive union wins last year — including the United Auto Workers securing much-needed raises, better work conditions, and increased job security — workers everywhere are seeing how organizing their workplace can change their lives for the better.
This win in Chattanooga marks the first auto plant in the South to vote to unionize since the 1940s. And next month, a Mercedes plant in Alabama will be holding its own union election, with most workers having already signed cards signaling their support for unionization.
Giving workers the power of a union at these plants and more in the South means that they can demand the treatment they deserve and stand up to the greedy CEOs and executives trying to fill their pockets until they burst.
That’s why Republicans are more than just furious. They’re scared. They know that their control relies on the megadonor class pumping absurd amounts of money into our elections, which is why they’ll throw working people and the unions created to protect them under the bus every time.
From passing right-to-work laws that weaken union power across the country, to voting against the PRO Act which would expand union eligibility and protect employees from union-busting, to publicly bashing the unions and union leaders fighting for better working conditions — Republicans have a proven record of attacking organized labor.
We’re proud to support champions who are on the side of working people and are building grassroots movements to reach voters before election day. Can you donate today to help replace Republicans across the country with representatives who will fight for us?
