Hello,
I am about to ask you to add a contribution to my re-election campaign — but first, you deserve to know exactly how this pandemic will affect our work moving forward. I hope you’ll give me a moment to explain something.
Our campaign has always emphasized making grassroots, person-to-person connections. That’s how we won our race in 2018, and it’s how we can win again — but we’ll need to do a few things differently this time around.
This new reality may have caused us to change our campaign strategy and move everything online, but our critical work to save Minnesota’s Senate seat and flip the majority is far from over.
As we rely more and more on emails just like this one to sustain our movement, my team will be working around the clock to make sure we’re stretching every one of your hard-earned dollars as far as we can.
But the way things are currently looking, we will fall behind on our fundraising target for the month. This doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone on my team given the circumstances. It does mean, however, that we will need to work twice as hard to make up for it.
So, what do you say? Can you chip in a donation of $10 or any amount you can afford to support our re-election campaign today? These are difficult times, so I only want you to pitch in if you are financially able to at this time. Thank you in advance.

We face an uncertain and unprecedented time, but knowing you opened this email makes me so grateful. Thank you for continuing to engage with our campaign and the incredible work we are doing to take back the Senate. I really mean it.
We will get through this together. Stay safe.
— Tina
