Hi John! My name is Rhea and I’m a 17 year old organizer from Voters of Tomorrow Florida.
When we say that VOT is run by high school and college students, we’re not kidding… I literally went to prom last weekend!!
Being a full-time student and part-time organizer, it can be hard to make time for normal high school things like prom.
See, most of my weekends are spent at voter registration drives. But the work is worth it because I know that my generation is the deciding vote in November.
Here’s the thing John: There are a LOT of students left to register, and only so many weekends to do it before voter registration deadlines. So if I’m going to continue registering new voters every weekend, VOT needs to stay funded through Election Day!
But I’m a high school student working to register my classmates, not a professional fundraiser. That’s why I’m counting on adults like you to step up and fund our efforts through Election Day.
