Hi John, my name is Tyler, the Executive Director of Iowa Senate Democrats. 

IA Senate Dems have been fighting hard all year to protect the rights and freedoms of Iowans across the state.

However, now that session is over and we’ve taken the time to look back at everything we’ve been able to get done, it’s time to look ahead and plan for the future. 

The path towards a better future for all Iowans starts with flipping the Senate majority and I’m proud to say that the IA Dems have a solid plan to do that and I’m going to share with you today.

1️⃣ Protect the seats of incumbent Senate Dems. Pro–choice and pro–education Democratic Senators like Sen. Eric Giddens are facing tough races in their district from far–right opponents who want to undo the progress he’s made. The IA Dems are working hard to spread the message and mobilize voters in the coming months.  

2️⃣ Support Democratic candidates who are willing to fight for what’s right.  The Iowa Senate Majority Fund provides support and resources to help Democratic candidates like Matt Blake (District 22) run successful campaigns against new and incumbent extremists like Brad Zaun. 

3️⃣Spread IA Dems’ pro–choice, pro–working family, and pro–democracy message. Change won’t happen if the people don’t know there are better options. IA Dems are working hard to make sure residents across Iowa know that we are working hard to flip the majority and topple the far–right status quo.
