Television Group as they received the Entertainment Community Fund Medal of Honor. The night was a joyous celebration with show-stopping performances from Hannah Cruz and Hawley Gould, Maria Friedman, Cassadee Pope, Liz Gillies and Ryan Vasquez. We also welcomed special guests including Entertainment Community Fund Chair of the Board Annette Bening, Chair of Leadership Council Brian Stokes Mitchell, President and CEO Joe Benincasa, as well as Kelsey Anderson, Eric Bauza, Michael Evans Behling, Kola Bokinni, Bugs Bunny, Stephen Daldry, Daffy Duck, Cristo Fernández, Joey Graziadei, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Shanola Hampton, Katherine Oliver and Greta Onieogou. The evening also featured the announcement of our $160 million ESSENTIAL Campaign: a bold and comprehensive effort that will allow the Fund to serve more people in more places.
Auction: Eleanor Roosevelt Signature on Historic Fund Program Doyle Auctioneers & Appraisers A one-of-a-kind item is up for auction at Doyle from Entertainment Community Fund history: a program signed by First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, from The Actors Fund of America’s (our former name) Second Annual “Salute to Broadway”! This event took place on December 21, 1956; actress Gusti Huber (The Diary of Anne Frank) collected the autograph and passed the program down to her granddaughter, actress Samantha Mathis (American Psycho). Samantha has generously donated the program to benefit the Fund.
The Great Gatsby Producer's Picks Broadway Theatre See top-notch theater and feel good about helping others! Producer's Picks tickets are donated by the producers so your entire ticket purchase goes to support the Entertainment Community Fund's programs and services. Transport yourself to the opulent world of the 1920s, and join the Fund for an extravagant night at The Great Gatsby on Broadway! This story of excess and longing stars Tony Award nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies) as the eccentric and mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby and Tony Award Nominee Eva Noblezada (Hadestown) as the enigmatic Daisy Buchanan.
The Who's Tommy Producer's Picks Nederlander Theatre In 1969, The Who created a rock opera that changed the course of music history. After witnessing an act of violence, young Tommy Walker—played by Ali Louis Bourzgui, making his Broadway debut—goes into a state of shock, spending his time endlessly and obsessively staring into the mirror. An innate knack for pinball catapults him from reticent adolescent to celebrity savior. Myth and spectacle combine in a fresh reinvention of The Who’s exhilarating 1969 rock concept album, Tommy—including the unforgettable anthems “I’m Free,” “See Me, Feel Me,” “Sensation” and “Pinball Wizard.”
