Join me Friday, 4/26 for an update on the clean energy transition
Friend,
For over two years, we've been calling on you and Evergreen advocates across the country to join our efforts to clean up one of the dirtiest sectors of our economy and bring clean air and water to communities nationwide.
I'm proud to say that our collective action is paying off.
Today, the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) took historic steps to reduce pollution from the power sector. They finalized many of the standards we've all been pushing so hard for, including first-of-their-kind carbon pollution standards for coal and new gas power plants, and stronger limits on mercury and air toxics, coal ash, and toxic wastewater.
These are huge victories, and the next few months are going to be critical if we want to see the clean energy transition happen at the full scope and speed necessary to take on the climate crisis.
Learn more about the rules and what must come next at a live virtual event tomorrow, April 26 at noon E.T. / 9 a.m. PT.
I'll be joined by Rep. Ro Khanna, Evergreen Executive Director Lena Moffitt, CCAN Action Fund Federal Policy Director Quentin Scott, and Climate Imperative Senior Director of U.S. Initiatives Mary Anne Hitt for what I know will be an informative and engaging discussion on everything we've achieved thus far and where we're headed next.

Hope to see you there,

P.S. Rep. Ro Khanna is going to be there to help us understand what these rules mean for U.S. climate action, and then Quentin Scott, Mary Anne Hitt, and I will explain what's in the rules and what needs to happen next. Don't miss it!
