Here in Oregon, voters expect legislators to show up and do their jobs. Voters even passed an amendment to the Oregon Constitution barring state legislators from running for re-election if they don’t show up to do their job in Salem.

In my 12 years of experience in elected office, I’ve not only met regularly with my constituents, I’ve consistently attended public meetings and voted -- even when the issues are tough. Showing up matters.

Republican Lori Chavez-DeRemer does not hold in-person town halls. And our Democratic primary opponent did not vote 36% of the time in the recent state legislative session.

Why would someone who didn’t show up for 36% of their votes be seeking a promotion, given the clear expectation of Oregon voters?

If anyone wonders why outside power brokers support Jamie’s opponents, follow the money. And think about accountability.

Jamie does not take corporate PAC money. She is accountable to Oregonians. Jamie shows up to vote, her vote is not for sale, and she has a track record of standing up to corruption.

That’s what voters are looking for -- and why Jamie has such a strong base throughout the district. Jamie is the ONLY Democrat who can flip this seat blue in November.
