Last night at midnight was our last big Federal Election Commission (FEC) deadline before my primary. We posted strong results, sending a powerful message that our district is ready for a new generation of leadership. While my opponent is running a campaign by the wealthy and for the wealthy, our campaign has built a grassroots movement with support from Maryland Teachers, the Sierra Club, and countless other unions and elected officials -- including Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren. These are trusted organizations and leaders, who recognize the urgency of this moment in our democracy, and are hungry for a new generation of leadership.
Last night, we proved that our grassroots-funded campaign has what we need to defeat my self-funding opponent.
