Fellow activist,

I wanted to reach out personally to thank you for your support as we worked to activate, mobilize, and turn out voters ahead of Tuesday’s primary election. We must continue building on our momentum heading into November.

A recent Pennsylvania Capital-Star article found that Republicans have registered more voters than Democrats in 67 counties throughout the Commonwealth. This is critical because Democrats only need to flip four seats in order to gain a majority in Pennsylvania, resulting in a trifecta in state government.

Even in Philadelphia, where Biden won enough votes to flip the Commonwealth, Republicans saw over a 3,500 gain in voters registered. As the article states, “More than anywhere else, it’s critical that Democrats retake the initiative here over the rest of this year.” Here is a look at some of their findings in the Southeast:

❌ Berks: R+1,862
❌ Bucks: R+2,414
❌ Chester: R+681
❌ Delaware: R+187
❌ Lehigh: R+1,506
❌ Montgomery: R+988
❌ Northampton: R+1,328
❌ Philadelphia: R+3,548

Here’s the thing: We are actively working to mobilize voters in ALL of the counties mentioned above. That is exactly why our work is so critical, and we could not do this without your support.

Thank you again for standing with us as we work to expand the Pennsylvania electorate, centering Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, immigrant communities, and the youth (17-35-year-olds).

In this together,

The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education, and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
