The Senate Leadership Fund, which serves as Mitch McConnell’s Super Pac and funds United States Senate candidates he supports, paid BlackRock over a quarter million dollars for “political consulting” in 2023.  Loomer Unleashed reported [ [link removed] ] donors to Sam Brown for Nevada include individuals who have donated to McConnell and John Thune, McConnell’s handpicked replacement for the Senate GOP Leadership position. Unsurprisingly, Mitch McConnell and John Thune hosted a fundraiser for Sam Brown in Washington, D.C., last December. We also reported [ [link removed] ] Brown declined to endorse Trump while at the same time attempting to score political points with Nevada GOP voters using Trump’s name.  The facts are clear. Sam Brown is not a friend of the America First Movement.
FEC records show that Mitch McConnell’s Senate Leadership Super Pac paid BlackRock 12 times for “political consulting” in 2023. The payments total over a quarter of a million dollars.
BlackRock has been leading the charge in implementing DEI across America’s economy. BlackRock’s DEI page reads, “At BlackRock, we believe that diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) are critical to developing world-class talent and delivering for our clients in a rapidly changing world. In March 2021, we launched an ambitious global DEI strategy and set in motion a series of commitments to drive forward progress across three pillars.”
The statement continues, “Our talent and culture across the globe where we focus on attracting, hiring, developing and retaining a diverse talent pipeline, and cultivating an inclusive and equitable work environment. Our activities to support our clients which focus on expanding investment choices and business partnership opportunities related to DEI, where consistent with our fiduciary duty. Our impact on underserved communities which focuses on philanthropic efforts to contribute to and invest in the long-term success of these communities.”
In December 2023, Mitch McConnell and John Thune hosted a fundraiser for Sam Brown in Washington, D.C. Team McConnell wants Thune to replace Mitch as GOP Senate Leader. Did Sam Brown also receive political consultation from BlackRock at his McConnell-hosted fundraiser?
It should be no surprise that on August 25th, 2023, Brown informed Punchbowl News that he would not endorse Trump. Punchbowl reported [ [link removed] ], “Brown is being exceptionally cautious when it comes to Trump. He declined to say whether he’s comfortable with sharing the GOP ticket with Trump in Nevada, which will be competitive once again at the presidential level as well.”
In October 2023, Brown again declined to endorse Trump, with the NBC News report reading [ [link removed] ], “In Nevada, retired Army Capt. Sam Brown, who lost a Senate primary last year against a Trump-backed candidate, also has declined to endorse Trump. Two of Brown’s 2024 primary rivals — former Trump ambassador to Iceland Jeff Gunter and Jim Marchant, a 2020 election denier who lost a race for secretary of state last year — have emphasized their endorsements of Trump.”
Sam Brown’s refusal to endorse President Trump at the start of Trump’s reelection, plus Brown’s close connections to BlackRock-backed Mitch McConnell, clearly proves Sam Brown is not the America First Senate candidate in the Nevada United States Senate race.
