Earlier this month, our Executive Director Judith Sandalow shared with you our 2023 Annual Report. She noted that creating lasting solutions for complex societal issues takes expertise and hard work over many years – but we can’t leave children behind while we fix these big problems.

Last year we reached 4,404 children and families through individual assistance. We also laid the groundwork for our first class-action lawsuit against the Office of the State Superintendent of Education, filed this March after years of working with the city to try to resolve transportation issues that consistently keep students with disabilities out of school.

This individual and systemic advocacy would not be possible without the dedicated partnership and support of 3,500+ law firms, corporations, foundations, individual donors, community advocates and pro bono volunteers who believe in our mission.

Today, we’re celebrating all those who supported us through our 2023 Champions for Children campaign - law firms and corporations that challenged themselves, their corporate contacts, associates, partners, vendors and staff to raise critical funds for Children’s Law Center. Their steadfast partnership and long-term commitment to children and families is critical to taking on these complex challenges and creating change that endures.

Meet the 2023 Champions for Children who went above and beyond:

Our 2024 Champions for Children campaign is now underway – and this is a critical time for your support to have an even bigger impact. Looming local budget cuts threaten to shrink programs that help students get behavioral health support at school, ensure accountability in the foster care system and help families get access to justice. Join our 2024 Champions for Children campaign and help us make sure children have the support they need to thrive!
