Last month, the Supreme Court allowed Texas’ unconstitutional law to go into effect until an appeals court paused the law later that night.
Now, another decision is expected to come any day that could again allow SB4 to take effect in Texas while litigation plays out — giving police the power to arrest, jail, and deport migrants even suspected of crossing the border.
We don’t know what the decision will be. That’s why we’re preparing for all possible scenarios.
If SB4 is allowed to take effect, our community will immediately spring into action — ensuring Texans know their rights, and start mobilizing against the unconstitutional law. But in order to do that, we’re going to need more grassroots support on our side.
