A federal district judge in Oklahoma just ruled in our case granting a
temporary restraining order allowing providers to resume
time-sensitive, essential abortion care. This decision comes in spite
of Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt's declaration, by press release, that
all abortion services are elective surgeries and minor medical
procedures that are prohibited during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The federal district judge wrote in his decision that the state of
Oklahoma "has acted in an 'unreasonable,' 'arbitrary,' and
'oppressive' way-and imposed an 'undue burden' on abortion
access-in imposing requirements that effectively deny a right of
access to abortion."

We couldn't agree more. For now, the court has stopped Governor Stitt
from exploiting this devastating pandemic as a weapon in his battle to
ban abortion.
