Today, we are thrilled to announce our first candidate of 2024: Anna Thomas, the challenger in Pennsylvania State House District 137! Democrats hold a narrow one-seat majority in the House which must be protected, and this seat is absolutely critical in doing so.

MEET ANNA THOMAS

Anna Thomas narrowly lost her race for the PA House of Representatives District 137 in 2022 by just 700 votes. Anna has continued to advocate for her community since then, and with our support she will prevail over a 14-year incumbent. If Anna is able to flip this district, it will allow Democrats to grow their narrow one-seat majority that was achieved and sustained since the 2022 election.

 

WHY THIS RACE IS IMPORTANT

Democrats flipped the Pennsylvania House in 2022 by 63 votes in one district! After special elections due to vacancies, Democrats now need to protect a one-seat majority. We must elect Anna in this crucial district to defend democracy and protect abortion in this important battleground state.
