We are getting so close to the start of early primary voting here in Virginia, so please, give me just a minute to reintroduce myself to you.

I’m Eugene Vindman. In 2019, my brother Alex and I were serving on the National Security Council when Alex overheard President Trump’s attempts to extort our allies in Ukraine.

We reported the call, and eventually our actions led to Trump’s impeachment. But Trump retaliated against us for blowing the whistle, and our decades-long careers of military service came to an end.

Now I’m running for Congress in Virginia to fight back against Trump and the far-right Republicans who enable his abuse of power and attacks on our Democracy.

And more than that, I’m running to push our country forward across the board. To restore abortion rights everywhere, act on climate change, and lower costs for Virginians.

So here’s the deal. If we win Virginia’s 7th district, we win a highly competitive swing district and make it that much more likely that Democrats take back the House.

And if we take back the House, we can begin to make progress on those issues while safeguarding against any Republican attempts to roll back our rights.

So, with so little time until Virginia voters begin to head to the polls for the first time, please:
