John,
Workers in the entertainment industry are no strangers to labor unrest. You might remember how writers and actors achieved historic gains through strikes, and collective action last year.
Now, it's the crew members' turn: camera operators, makeup artists, costumers, and many others who work tirelessly behind the scenes will fight for what they deserve.
They’ve outlined clear demands: wage increases that adjust to inflation, updated overtime provisions, and protections against artificial intelligence taking over their jobs.
Do you believe that entertainment crew members deserve fair union contracts from their studios? If you do, join us and sign onto our petition now. >>
The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), Teamsters, and the Hollywood Basic Crafts have united to call for improved pay, better working conditions, and recognition of their work. Their current contracts will expire on July 31, so negotiation time is running out. They’re prepared to go on strike if an agreement isn’t reached.
The path to fair treatment and equitable compensation is paved with unity and determination. As negotiations begin, we are calling on studios to engage in meaningful talks with union members and acknowledge their demands and contributions to the industry. The future of American entertainment depends on the fair treatment of all its workers.
Sign the petition now to show your support for entertainment crews and their unions and demand fair union contracts now. >>
Thank you,
Democratic Values
