In March, Doris introduced a new bill that would ensure low-income Americans continue to get affordable prescription drugs! If you’re proud of Doris’ efforts to make prescription drugs more accessible to low-income families, chip in $30 to support her reelection campaign!

Over her tenure in Congress, Doris has long led efforts to support programs that allow hospitals and clinics that treat low-income and uninsured patients to buy prescription drugs at a discount of 25 percent to 50 percent. The program is intended to help safety-net healthcare providers stretch their financial resources to reach more financially vulnerable patients and deliver comprehensive services.

Doris has also fought to allow Medicare to negotiate the price of drugs. This improves access to affordable treatments and strengthens the Medicare program. For example, under the provisions Doris helped pass, the Medicare drug plan can't charge you more than $35 for a one-month supply of insulin, and you don’t have to pay a deductible. Doris’ work is only getting started, and we must ensure she remains in Congress to continue fighting for our underserved communities.
