I first ran for Congress because too many of us, from the Bronx to Westchester, were being failed by a broken system.

As a school principal, I witnessed too many of our children dying of gun violence with too little attention and action from those in power. Too little being done to make life better and easier for working families. Too little action on the climate crisis.

Justice Democrats recruited me to run against a 16-term incumbent and establishment Democrat in 2020 — with support from progressive grassroots supporters like you, we beat the odds and won.

Now, I need your help again to fend off my AIPAC-backed moderate challenger in this June’s primary election. Will you help re-elect me and my fellow Squad members this year by splitting a donation to my campaign and Justice Democrats today?

Together, we've stood up and delivered real progress for all, including over $1 billion of funding for affordable housing, climate resiliency, small businesses, gun violence prevention, and public schools in NY-16.

I’m keeping up the fight for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, student debt relief, and human rights for Palestinians. But after I joined the rest of the Squad in becoming the first members of Congress to call for a ceasefire in Gaza last year, AIPAC vowed to spend $100 million against us and recruited an out-of-touch, moderate Democrat to run against me.

My opponent has since made racist and Islamophobic comments and accepted nearly $1 million from a super PAC bankrolled by Trump megadonors.

This is one of the most competitive Democratic primaries in the entire country, and we simply can’t afford to lose this seat to another career politician who will put corporate special interests before the people.
