Make your own celery bugs

Ingredients and tools:

• 4 celery sticks
• Peanut butter
• 2 cheese sticks
• 10 pretzels
• 20 candy eyeballs
• Knife, for cutting celery
• Butter knife, for spreading peanut butter

Note: Guardians are encouraged to help with cutting the celery sticks.

Step 1) Gather your materials. 

Step 2) Cut the celery sticks into 10 pieces. Each piece should be around 5 centimeters long.

Step 3) Cut the curved edge of the celery sticks flat so they can stand cut-side down.

Step 4) Use your butter knife to spread the peanut butter onto each celery piece.

Step 5) Unwrap the cheese sticks. Slice each cheese stick into four long pieces.

Step 6) Roll one piece of cheese into a circle. Place the rolled cheese onto a peanut butter-filled celery stick. Repeat this step for four more celery sticks.

Step 7) To create a bug with wings, place two pretzels side-by-side on a peanut butter-filled celery stick. Repeat this step with the four remaining celery sticks.

Step 8) Finish your celery bugs by placing two candy eyes at one end of each celery stick.

Step 9) Serve immediately and enjoy!
