Katie Porter here. I’ve served in Congress both in the majority and
minority, and let me tell you–we can get so much more done when Democrats
control the House. We need to flip just a few seats in November to make it
happen.
[ [link removed] ]That’s why today I’m asking you to support Truth to Power’s newly
endorsed candidates, three Democrats who are rejecting corporate PAC money
while running in tough, must win races.
Kirsten Engel is running in a Tucson area district currently held by a
Republican. Kirsten is a law professor (like I was!) and worked to protect
the environment. As a state legislator, she fought Republican attempts to
cut education and worked to fully-fund Arizona public schools and
universities. She lost by around 5,000 votes in 2022, so she just needs
our help to get over the finish line in this important swing-state.
Mondaire Jones and I served together in Congress in 2021 and 2022, and I
saw firsthand the type of principled leader he is. Now Mondaire is running
in a Republican-held district in New York's Lower Hudson Valley. A
majority of voters in this district voted for Joe Biden in 2020—so this
seat is winnable.
As an attorney, Josh Riley has fought greedy cable company mergers, argued
for ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment, and challenged the Trump
Administration's racist Muslim Ban in the Supreme Court. Now he’s running
to represent Upstate New York in what will be one of the most competitive
House races of the year.
[ [link removed] ]These three Democrats will be critical to flipping the House. Can you
give $5 today that will be divided between their campaigns
and Truth to Power?
