Tammy’s Republican opponent has said some outrageous things in the past. He blamed societal problems on women and single mothers and said that being overweight is a choice, arguing that people struggling with obesity should be forced to pay more for health care.

We know Eric Hovde is out-of-touch with Wisconsinites, but even we were blown away by his latest comments…

“Almost nobody in a nursing home is at a point to vote.”

Thousands of Wisconsinites live in nursing homes, and Eric Hovde doesn’t think they should be voting. Imagine saying this about your parents or grandparents?

Maybe Eric Hovde doesn’t want seniors voting because of his deeply unpopular positions on raising the retirement age or cutting Social Security.

Regardless of his reasons, Hovde’s comments were unconscionable and he continues to show us how incredibly out-of-touch he is with Wisconsin voters.
