Kansas City Will Not Be a Sanctuary City!

Last week, progressive Democratic Mayor Quinton Lucas unilaterally declared Kansas City a Sanctuary City.

Cities like New York, Chicago, and Denver, proudly proclaiming themselves “sanctuaries,” are now grappling with the consequences: surging numbers of illegal immigrants, overwhelmed services, and chaos for local taxpayers.

Let me be clear: As your Governor, I will never let this happen in Kansas City or anywhere in the state of Missouri.

While my opponents pretend they can build a fence to keep illegals out of Missouri, I won’t gaslight you with such nonsense.

• What I will do is hire 1,000 new police in my first year and anyone we find in our state illegally will be shown the door.

• I will make sure no illegal immigrant gets taxpayer-funded benefits.

• I will punish any business found to be knowingly employing illegal immigrants.

And any city in Missouri proclaiming themselves a Sanctuary City will lose state funding.

Joe Biden is a failure as President and in the last three and a half years he’s allowed nine million people to enter the country illegally - more than 1.5x the population of Missouri!

As your Governor I will eliminate any incentive to come to Missouri if you are in the country illegally, and I will work with the Trump Administration and Immigrations and Customs Enforcement to deport anyone we find in our state.
