In honor of Earth Week, President Biden has announced he is moving forward with establishing the American Climate Corps - listing 2,000 new jobs and training programs for young Americans who want to clean up our environment.
This would not be possible without the efforts of SEEC Member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who made this one of her day-one missions when she was first elected to Congress.
However, Republicans in Congress have worked to block this from going into effect at every step of the way. Apparently even getting millennials and Gen Z to help clean up the environment is too controversial for these guys!
