As we get ready to close the books on another month of this campaign, I can’t help but think about how far we’ve come since we launched in October. In less than seven months, this team has helped build a movement capable of flipping NY-01 blue and bringing in a new leader for the people of Long Island.
You don’t have to just take my word for it. As a scientist, I like having numbers to back up my claims. That’s why I grabbed some data I wanted to share with you.
Since October, we have:
- Raised over $930,000
- Gathered more than 3,300 signatures in all eight towns of NY-01 to get on the ballot
- Received endorsements from dozens of organizations and community leaders, including EMILY’s List and a gun sense candidate distinction from Moms Demand Action
- Knocked on more than 6,500 doors and made more than 4,600 calls with a team of nearly 200 volunteers
I mean it when I say the success of this campaign is because of you. We have momentum, but this will still be a tough race.
