Hi there,
Yesterday, Pennsylvania held its Presidential Primary Election. Her Bold Move had phenomenal candidates on the ballot – and we have some good news to share!
Several of our endorsed candidates made it through their elections and will be on the ballot in November.
Each of the races we list below are CRITICAL to gaining pro-choice majorities in the rooms where decisions are being made. Will you help fund our next round of contributions to these candidates by donating $20.24 or more today?

🗳️ Janelle Stelson is moving on to the general for PA-10. She will face off with GOP extremist Scott Perry, who serves as head of the ultra-conservative Freedom Caucus. We are proud to support her effort to unseat him.
🗳️ Fern Leard is moving to the general for PA Assembly District 120. This seat is currently held by a Republican, but voter registration shows that her district is almost evenly split. This is a pickup opportunity for Democrats.
“The need to rush funds to underfunded school districts is urgent. We have districts without libraries, schools without cafeterias, and schools that are consistently understaffed,” Fern said. “We are failing our children on many levels by not ensuring a high-quality public education that sets our students up for opportunities instead of strengthening the school-to-prison pipeline.”
🗳️ Ashley Ehasz is moving to the General to represent Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District. She’ll be working to unseat GOP Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, who recently sent a mailer to households in the district touting his conservative voting record.
He highlighted his support of the ‘Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act,’ which aims to spread misinformation about “late-term abortions.” (In reality, only 1% of abortions happen after 20 weeks – often due to dire and tragic circumstances.) He voted to cut the VA’s budget by 22% and blocked his own gun violence prevention measures.
This seat is flippable and one of our best chances at gaining another pro-choice Representative in Congress.
🗳️ Stefanie Rafes (PA Assembly District 187) ran unopposed and is automatically moving to the general. Her GOP opponent has been loudly anti-choice and has introduced legislation to restrict abortion access. Governor Josh Shapiro, a Democrat, won the district in 2022 by a relatively large margin. This is another strong opportunity to unseat an anti-choice legislator. We are working hard to make it happen.
We couldn’t be more pleased to share this good news with you. Now that these candidates have made it through their primaries, we need to ensure that they have what they need to win in November. The stakes are high.
Each of the races we mentioned above will be tough – but winnable. These are the types of races in which every vote, and EVERY DOLLAR, counts. Will you help fund our next round of endorsement contributions to these campaigns by donating $20.24 or more today?
