Friends – as a Member of Congress, my first responsibility is addressing the very real problems Americans are facing and coming up with real solutions.
It’s a responsibility I take seriously and one of the driving forces behind why I’m running for re-election. It’s why I spend every day working with my colleagues in the House to try to pass legislation that will help the families in our districts – like the Inflation Reduction Act and the American Rescue Plan – and of course, to try to block the harmful legislation that my more extreme GOP colleagues try to push.
But the fight doesn’t stop when we leave the Capitol at the end of the day. Far from it.
Each time the House recesses, we put on our campaigning hats and fight tooth and nail to regain our Democratic majority so we can actually get things done.
Right now I’m wearing that campaigning hat, and I’m working to ensure we have the funds we’ll need to defeat my MAGA opponent come November.
To keep up the fight against him, I need to build up my campaign even more – and I could really use your support in the coming week for a few reasons:
- On April 30th, we’ll close our books for the month and be a third of the way through Q2, so now is the time we need to make sure we’re on track to reach our goals.
-
Fundraising is slowing down – with so many competing priorities all across the country, it’s getting tougher and tougher to secure the resources we need.
- My anti-abortion MAGA opponent has already shown he’s capable of raising real money – and I can guarantee he’ll be fundraising even more as the election gets closer.
With all this in mind, I’m really hoping I can count on this team to boost up my fundraising numbers before the end of April.
I’m coming to you because I’m going to keep delivering solutions to the problems we face, but I need your help to make it happen. Will you chip in any amount to help out?
Thanks so much for being here. It means a lot.
