John, can you help us fund urgently needed research?

Every day, when I’m working in my laboratory at the University of Birmingham, the discoveries we make could change the future. My study into insulin-making beta cells could prove life-changing for millions. And it’s all thanks to supporters like you.

But too many promising research projects are left untouched, purely because of a lack of funds.

More than 5 million people across the UK now live with the challenges of diabetes, day in, day out. For too many, diabetes can lead to appalling complications. More research is needed, but we need your help.

Please can you help end the harm of diabetes and fund more research with a gift today?

The level of harm is unthinkable. Amputations, sight loss, heart attack and stroke, kidney damage, nerve damage, problems with sex, emotional burnout. It puts such an unbelievable toll on people. But research can change everything.

Your gift helps researchers like me to keep tackling the complications of diabetes, while bringing us ever closer to prevention and a cure. And the next major breakthrough could be just around the corner. Please join the fight for freedom from harm today.

£15 ( [link removed] ) could help us understand how to protect insulin-producing cells and slow down the development of type 1 diabetes£35 ( [link removed] ) could help us develop first-of-a-kind treatments for type 2 diabetes, helping more people go into remission£50 ( [link removed] ) could help grow insulin-producing cells in the lab, bringing us a step closer to a cure for everyone with diabetes£100 ( [link removed] ) will help us fight for freedom from harm

Thank you for any gift you can give today and thank you for all of your life-changing support. We could not continue our work fighting diabetes through research without your support.
