Folks,

Before I served in the New Jersey Assembly, I was a physician. I saw firsthand how heartwrenching medical situations could be for individuals and their loved ones.

You never want to be in the hospital, but when you are – you hope you will be given the highest quality of care with empathy and understanding.

Now, as I run for Congress, I look back on my time as a physician and think of when I saw women faced with impossible decisions surrounding their pregnancies.

Patients would often rely on the love, support, and advice of family or friends. I would give guidance and knowledge to the best of my ability as their doctor.

Never once in those moments did I think “You know who should REALLY be here making this decision? Some elected official who knows nothing about medicine.”

That’s why I am running for Congress. I know from my lived experiences that we need to keep legislators out of the exam room. And, when I’m in Congress, I’ll be sure to advocate tirelessly for the rights of women to access healthcare.

Unfortunately, Republicans are dead set on keeping the House so they can pass restrictive abortion laws. In order to keep their majority, they will do anything – even come after our campaign.
