The recent Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announcement recognizes the broad scope of the PWFA, including that abortion is a covered condition under the bill. These final rules significantly advance women's health, economic security, and equality.

We have achieved a huge step forward for millions of workers, especially women in low-wage and physically-demanding jobs.

This decision also recognizes abortion as a covered condition which is a critical step forward in supporting a full range of reproductive health. Women shouldn’t have to choose between their health and their job – and now they don’t have to.
