Emgage’s Super PAC Campaign, Defend and Advance, celebrates Representative Summer Lee’s victory in protecting her Congressional seat in Pennsylvania, despite being targeted by AIPAC-aligned right-wing groups. This victory comes in the face of opposition from powerful forces, including GOP billionaire Jeff Yass, who invested over $800,000 in her primary challenger’s campaign. As the nation’s only national Muslim Super PAC, the Defend and Advance campaign is proud of this moment and all those who have contributed to it.
The coalition that came together to elect Lee in 2022 renewed its commitment to protecting our ally. Together, our coalition got our message out - showing Lee has brought more than a billion dollars to PA-12 and stood with working families at every turn - on television and digital platforms, with media buys totaling roughly $600,000 from Emgage Super PAC, Justice Democrats and Working Families Party.

Representative Lee has always stood with the Muslim community, especially during these difficult times. She has spoken out against Islamophobia and supported a ceasefire and the delivery of more humanitarian aid to Gaza. Her reelection is proof that principled positioning on domestic and foreign policy issues, including in support of Palestinian human rights, can be rewarded electorally.
As the Democratic Party looks towards future national elections, the significance of aligning with the evolving electorate’s values—favoring peace and justice—becomes increasingly apparent. Such alignment is crucial for maintaining support in key battleground states like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, which could determine the outcome of the presidency.
