Tell Congress: Protect the Mothers and Children of Gaza!

Dear John,

Just yesterday CODEPINK was in the Senate trying to stop another massive war funding bill that the warmongers in Congress passed through the House of Representatives on Saturday. But, we have a critical ask of you: Mother’s Day is our next mobilization point. We will be bringing to Congress the Raging Grannies as well as mothers and grandmothers from all over the country who are heartbroken over Gaza. We need your voice.

Yesterday marked 200 days since the genocide in Gaza started. At one point Israel was killing two Palestinian mothers every hour. They’ve killed over 13,000 children. How could we celebrate this Mother’s Day without them? Warmongers like Biden and every spineless member of Congress who voted for more bombs to Israel say they want stability in the Middle East. How can US officials expect stability in Gaza when so many children will grow up without their mothers? Where’s the stability in mass starvation of families?

We think you all can make Mother’s Day as impactful as you made Earth Day! With thousands of your signatures backing them up, CODEPINK members across the country brought one clear message to the streets and to Congress: WAR IS NOT GREEN! GENOCIDE=ECOCIDE! From an informative teach-in in Denver, to petition deliveries directed at environmental committees all week in Congress. You all SHOWED UP and called-out the real culprits of environmental destruction–weapons and war. Read up on all of our activities this Earth Day in this PINK tank!

If you weren’t able to take action for Earth Day, Mother’s Day is just around the corner and there’s plenty of time to jump in and be in solidarity with mothers and children in Gaza!
