Arkansas. Iowa. Nebraska. North Dakota. South Carolina. South Dakota. Utah. Wyoming.

Those are the only states in the nation whose governors have not yet issued statewide stay-at-home directives that could be critical to limiting the spread of the coronavirus.

It should go without saying that the coronavirus doesn’t know Arkansas from Joan of Arc, Wyoming from Wyatt Earp.

Even Donald Trump’s hand-picked surgeon general admitted yesterday that “the next week is going to be our Pearl Harbor moment.”

Yet the governors of those eight states continue to put their own lives, the lives of their residents, and ALL of our lives at greater risk.

That’s why a nationwide stay-at-home policy is beyond essential.

Public Citizen is calling on Donald Trump to issue a national stay-at-home directive right now.
