A million people saw the video we posted of House Republicans voting for HIGHER CREDIT CARD FEES and a top Republican claiming "the vast majority of Americans" want high fees and "They don't think they're junk."

Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki responded to our post, saying, "Hmmm…not sure Barr has spoken with many Americans lately if that’s what he thinks." MSNBC host Chris Hayes replied, "lol. Inclined to agree."

The vote was part of a coordinated attempt by Congressional Republicans to block a Biden Administration rule from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) that caps credit card late fees at just $8.

A potential Trump vice presidential pick, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), is leading the effort in the Senate.

The rule they want to reverse will lower costs for millions of families by more than $200 a year. Together, consumers will save $10 billion every year.

Republicans are smoking themselves out as supporting high fees that abuse consumers. President Biden and Democrats are unified in fighting surprise junk fees on credit cards, food, flights, hotels, rent applications, concert tickets, utility bills, and more.
