Last week, our GOP opponent was bragging on Facebook about receiving support from a Super PAC.

That means millions of dark money dollars will flood into our district this year.

I want to explain why this is such a big deal and then ask you to please donate to help us fight back and keep this seat blue. [[link removed]]

In 2010 our campaign finance system was completely upended - for the worse. That year the Supreme Court ruled in Citizens United that corporations are people and consequently can donate unlimited amounts of money to Super PACs. These Super PACs could then spend massive amounts of money on negative ads to influence our elections. Corporations all the sudden had the power to flip seats and elect members of Congress to do their bidding.

That means anyone from the Koch Brothers to Elon Musk could spend millions - or even billions of dollars - to buy attack ads and overpower the will of the voters.

It’s genuinely one of the biggest threats to our democratic system. And that’s why Josh has taken the pledge to never take a dime of corporate PAC money.

On the other hand, our opponent has a very different outlook. He’s bragging about getting support from a GOP Super PAC. He’ll gladly take their corporate money, take their Super PAC ad support and then when he wins, take their side over our families.

In the next few months Josh is going to face an onslaught of attack ads from these dark money Super PACs. We need your help to fight back.
