American F-35 Aircraft Train Alongside Israeli 'Adir' Aircraft For the First Time in Israel
A strong U.S.-Israel relationship makes both countries safer and better prepared to overcome shared threats.
Last weekend, the U.S. Air Force and the Israeli Air Force (IAF) trained together in Israel for their first-ever joint F-35 aerial exercise in Israel.

Medtronic's Israel Division to Give Away Ventilator Patents to its Competitors Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Medtronic's Israel division, Yaron Yitzhari, announced that the company would release all of Medtronic's patents for the production of ventilators, in order to enable any company wishing to manufacture them to use Medtronic's blueprints, for free. Medtronic is the world's largest manufacturer of medical equipment.
"When it comes to the financial impact, it has negligible weight, because the main thing is saving lives, and that's what our company knows how to do," Yitzhari said.
The U.S.-Israel Free Trade Agreement, 35 Years On: A Win-Win
The U.S.-Israel relationship strengthens both countries in a wide variety of areas. While the well-known homeland security and defense benefits are most often discussed, both countries also benefit from a robust bilateral trade relationship.
In April 1985, the United States signed a free trade agreement (FTA) with Israel—America’s first FTA with any country. Thirty-five years later, the agreement is still a cornerstone of the U.S.-Israel relationship. Its benefits to the two allies continue to grow with each passing year, having turned the United States into Israel’s largest trading partner.

U.N. Praises 'Excellent' Israeli-Palestinian Cooperation in Fight Against Pandemic
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the United Nations has praised Israel for its "excellent" cooperation with the Palestinian Authority in fighting the coronavirus.
Israeli and Palestinian officials, having long worked together on security and civil matters, recently set up a special mechanism to communicate "moment by moment" on all issues related to the virus, a senior Palestinian official said.
In its first "emergency situation report," the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs noted "unprecedented cooperation on efforts aimed at containing the epidemic" between Israeli and Palestinian authorities.
