I know our campaign for Senate means a lot to so many people. The significance of it isn't lost on me as the first woman and person of color running to represent Delaware in the Senate. So before I go on, can I ask that you chip in $10 or more to our campaign to help us do just that?

With all that’s at stake this election year, this race means a lot to so many people across the country. This race means a lot to me, too – especially when it comes to protecting our planet.

Back in 2016 when I first ran for the House, I ran on my 3 P’s: People, Planet and Purpose. And when I became the first woman and person of color to represent Delaware in the House, we got right to work.

In the House, I fought to safeguard our environment, championed reproductive rights, and expanded affordable housing opportunities. I even partnered with Senator Markey on legislation that would raise the standards for air quality monitoring – specifically in communities of color where residents are disproportionately likely to be harmed.

Together, we accomplished so much in Congress. And we will accomplish so much more in the Senate.
