Black women have been historically excluded and exploited by the rules of the American economy. From unemployment to on-the-job marginalization, the stats speak for themselves. Even when they turn to entrepreneurship to mitigate the racist and sexist realities in the workplace, they still face disproportionate challenges like lack of adequate capital and mentorship. Girls For A Change is on a mission to help Black girls and young women chart stronger paths towards economic success.
But we need the help of the business community to do it. We are in need of Hiring Partners seeking 5 hours a week or 10 hours a week positions. Be a part of the solution by hiring a girl over the summer and offering mentorship and work experience.
