Friend, it’s Lynsey Hart, IDP’s Party Affairs Director. Here at IDP, we want to be different from the other thousand emails you’re surely getting from every political organization under the sun. We don’t want to just tell you what we’re going to do – we want to show you what we’re already doing, thanks to your support.
IDP’s county party organizations and IDP-supported campaigns have already held 42 events in April – and we’ve got 14 more on the calendar, and counting, before the end of this month. Here are some photos from a couple of my favorites:
Here are several photos from the many county conventions held this month. Almost every single county party held its county convention this month. These are an integral part of how IDP’s county chapters get organized and ready to hit the ground running. [link removed] [[link removed]]
County party events like this are the backbone of the work Iowa Democrats do, and the people who show up and get organized to win elections up and down the ballot are the lifeblood of strong Democratic campaigns.
[link removed] [[link removed]] And here’s a photo from one of IDP’s regional events in LeClaire. IDP is working hard to engage Democrats in every corner of Iowa and recognize the all-stars who work tirelessly to further the Democratic mission.
Organizing doesn’t stop in the off-year, and these awardees have proven that time and time again.
Recognizing key volunteers and supporters like this is integral to ensuring that we nurture and retain those who are leading within our party.
Events like these – and the 40 others we’ve held in April alone – are how we’re bringing together a united Democratic coalition to bring some “heart” back to the “heartland.” Without the support of people like you, none of these events would be possible.
