John, it’s the Kansas Democratic Party here, and we have one important question:
What are your plans for voting this year?
Exercising your right to vote is so important for people across the country, especially in Kansas – that's why we created a survey for folks to tell us all about what they're doing to make that happen. Would you take a moment today to let us know what your plans are to vote this year? [[link removed]]

This may seem like a throw away question, but it really opens up an opportunity for us to tell you about how in 2024 exercising your right to vote is controversial – and there are real, strong opponents to it in the legislature.
That's right, the representatives that folks in Kansas voted for are actively working to REPRESS your right to vote.
❌ After Trump's election-denying rant post-2020 election, conservatives in Kansas effectively criminalized voter registration drives by civic engagement organizations – making it extremely difficult to legally help folks register to vote.
❌ Then in 2022 and 2023, the Kansas higher courts rejected appeals to reverse restrictions requiring election officials to exact-match signatures on file with the county with signatures on ballot envelopes and reducing the number of advance ballots one person can deliver to 10 – ultimately limiting the amount of advance ballots that get counted.
❌ And just a few days ago, Republican legislators in Kansas revived a proposal to shorten the time that mail in ballots can be returned – despite rural voters depending on the often-stalled USPS to deliver them.
The only way we can protect the right to vote is by electing more common-sense, people-first Democrats to our legislature – which is why we want to check in with folks like you and make sure you're informed, before it's too late.
We created this short survey because we at the Kansas Democratic Party want to make sure folks stay in the know and are able to retain ALL of their rights. John, could you spend a minute or two sharing your thoughts with us? [[link removed]]
