Putting #PeopleOverPolitics
Coming off Earth Day, we want to highlight all of the work the Biden Administration and Democrats are doing to protect our environment and address climate change. Recently, the Biden Administration cracked down on methane leaks [[link removed]] -- a huge contributor to global warming -- and created the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund [[link removed]] to support projects that invest in clean energy and cut pollution with a focus on disadvantaged communities. In contrast, this is what House Republicans are doing about climate: passing bills that boost Big Oil’s profits and eliminate environmental protections. [[link removed]]
From the Headlines
Access to the internet is essential for so many parts of our lives, from work and school to health care. But soon, many Americans could be faced with the choice of whether to pay for their internet service or pay for their groceries. That’s because Republicans are refusing to renew the Affordable Connectivity Program, [[link removed]] and if it ends later this month, tens of millions of Americans -- including more than 400,000 South Carolina households -- could see their internet bills skyrocket.
Last month, Jim filed for re-election, and The State published a great article [[link removed]] about his career and legacy. Check it out:
“‘In terms of the state of South Carolina, [Jim] will definitely go down as one of the greatest statesman that the state has ever had,’ Jaime Harrison, Democratic National Committee chairman said. ‘Jim Clyburn has always been able to deliver, regardless of what party is in control.’”

On the Ballot 2024
We’re more than a quarter of the way through the election year, and Jim and our organization are supporting Democrats across the country -- including Senate candidates, like Lisa Blunt Rochester, and President Biden at the very top of the ticket. And Jim is working with Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries to help Democrats win back the House. They can’t do it without the support of people like you, so please consider contributing to any (or all!) of these campaigns:

Americans for the Arts awarded Jim with its Public Leadership in the Arts Award [[link removed]] for his work in Congress advocating for and investing in arts and culture education. (Fun fact: In elementary school, Jim played the clarinet and saxophone and starred in high school plays!)
