Friend,
I just checked in with my team this morning and we're facing some tough news: we didn't reach our Earth Day goal last night. That means right now, we have fewer resources than we anticipated to fund our grassroots campaigns to fight for our climate, wildlife, communities, and more in the critical weeks and months ahead.
A budget shortfall will have real-world impacts on the progress we're making. The major achievements we're celebrating this month – including new, conservation-forward guidelines for our nation's majestic public lands, and important protections for more than 10 million acres of land in the Arctic – happened thanks to years of thoughtful, coordinated, hard-fought work. Our part in making it happen was only possible due to the support of Sierra Club members and supporters like you.
Here's the good news: our donor has generously agreed to extend their matching gift offer for an additional 24 hours. We're really close to meeting the goal – will you help us get there, Friend?

Please, make your urgent gift before midnight tonight. It will still go TWICE as far to power the Sierra Club's work to protect public lands, defend endangered wildlife, defeat corporate polluters, and more – and we'll send you a free sticker as a token of our thanks.
From stronger vehicle emissions standards to more coal plant closures and expanded protections for the Arctic – I'm inspired by all that we've already achieved together in 2024. (And April's not even over yet!)
Thank you for all that you do to protect our planet, during Earth Month and every month of the year.
With gratitude,
Mikaela King
Chief Membership Growth Officer
