Tomorrow, April 24, the US Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in a pivotal case, Idaho v. United States. This case will determine whether the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) preempts state laws that ban abortion, such as Idaho’s existing, near-total ban.

Your rights are not safe even in DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia!

Join Planned Parenthood Advocates for DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia as we rally to tell the Supreme Court to reject Idaho's effort to prevent hospital providers from performing abortions in emergency circumstances.

Any other decision will lead to greater suffering for anyone who can become pregnant, and will sow confusion among providers, who may be forced to balance the oath they took to care for patients against considerations about potential penalties.
