Dear Mr. xxxxxx,
I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to fight for you, Texas’ 21st Congressional District, and our country as a whole:
Congress just voted to put America LAST
Over the weekend, Congress voted on a security package that funded other countries’ borders, but not our own!
Our southern border is on fire due to the Biden administration’s willful refusal to obey the law and Americans like Laken Riley are dying as a consequence. We are adding $1 trillion to the debt every 100 days due to unbridled federal spending and inflation is still eating away at American paychecks. In the face of that, Republicans inexplicably choose to advance a package representing more of the same uniparty legislating that got us in this situation.
House Republicans promised to change things in Washington, and I for one will not stop until we do. This is the beginning not the end. We will break the back of the uniparty and return this country to the hard-working Americans being taken for granted.
The Constitution is not a suggestion
On Tuesday, I led a subcommittee hearing on the constitutional rights violated during the pandemic.
The fundamental liberties protected by our Constitution are NOT optional and should not be suspended for politics or for times of crisis. The COVID restrictions were not about safety and science, but rather compliance and control.
This should never happen again, and I will continue to fight against the tyranny of restricting your Constitutional rights.

Last week, I enjoyed visiting with TX-21’s Congressional App Challenge winners at my Washington, DC office.
Brooke Maastricht and Kiley Flippen of Sycamore Springs Middle School in Austin won with their app titled “Smith Mystery - Who Killed Elizabeth Smith.”
Congressional Art Competition
