Dear MoveOn member,

Ben Tulchin is the former pollster for Senator Bernie Sanders—and he's
alarmed about President Joe Biden's chances in the 2024 election.

Tulchin's research, reported in The New York Times, shows that Robert F.
Kennedy Jr. is gaining serious ground among two traditionally Democratic
voting groups: Latinos and younger voters.^1

If Kennedy Jr. siphons away even just a few thousand Latinos and younger
voters, it could very well hand victory to Donald Trump.

And, in a troubling turn of events, Kennedy Jr. is now on the ballot in
the battleground state of Michigan—and he's poised to make the ballot in
the key states of Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada, too.^2

No wonder Kennedy Jr. is heavily supported by ultra-wealthy Trump
donors.^3 Even Trump himself has admitted Kennedy Jr.'s campaign helps
him.^4

[ [link removed] ]MoveOn has an ambitious $32 million plan to win this election—including
by exposing the truth about Kennedy Jr.'s doomed-to-fail spoiler campaign.
We'll tell you about our plan in just a moment, but first: Will you donate
$9 to help reach Latino voters, young voters, and other key
constituencies in battleground states in our fight against Trump, Kennedy
Jr., and the MAGA movement?

John, as Tulchin explains, Latinos and younger voters flocked
to Sanders in the 2016 and 2020 Democratic presidential primaries. And
while they sided strongly with Biden in the general election against
Trump, it was clear "they weren't enthused" by Biden's candidacy.^5

Now, Tulchin says that Kennedy Jr. is working to siphon off those voters.
And Kennedy Jr.'s plot appears to be working.

Alarmingly, The New York Times' most recent poll of battleground states
showed Kennedy Jr. neck and neck with Biden and Trump among voters under
45.^6 If those numbers hold, it will spell disaster for Biden's reelection
and plunge our country into a disastrous second Trump term.

That's why MoveOn is running a campaign designed to mitigate the risks
posed by Kennedy Jr. Our strategy includes the following:

* Voter education and mobilization. Educating voters about Kennedy Jr.'s
positions, including his support for a national abortion ban.
* Strategic outreach to surge voters. We've already identified more than
11 million surge voters—those who have shown they will vote for
Democrats but do not vote consistently. Four million of these are in
key states, and 1.5 million of those are contactable by phone or
email. We're laser-focused on those 1.5 million voters; if we can sway
even a small fraction of them to vote, it may be enough to tip the
election in our favor.
* Efforts to create a unified front. Amid the current political turmoil,
clarity and unity have never been more important. If young voters
divide their votes between Democrats and third-party spoilers, it
could lead to a nightmare scenario, and we can't let that happen.
That's why we're calling on every progressive to unite and ensure that
our collective voice is heard loud and clear at the ballot box.

We can succeed—we've defeated Trump in 2020 and stopped a "red wave" in
2022. But the bad news is that we are significantly behind in our election
plan fundraising.

Want to support MoveOn's work? The MAGA movement's book bans have forced
teachers and librarians across the country to remove books from their
shelves and censor what young people can learn. MoveOn is fighting back,
including by filling a "Banned Bookmobile" with books that the far right
has banned and driving it to key cities and towns to raise the visibility
of book bans, hand out banned books for free, and bring people together to
stop censorship. To keep up the fight against book bans and the MAGA
politicians who support them, we need your help.

Will you make a gift to power MoveOn's critical work?
