Hey John,
Joining our Youth Activist Network is how so many change-makers get their start in activism, make friends with activists across the country, and begin to build their power as organizers
Gain year-round support for your activism and build your power as an organizer - apply here by May 1st!
Which program is for you? Here are just some of our programs and their basic requirements, which you can learn more about on their pages below:
Abortion Out Loud activists work to increase on-campus access to abortion, challenge abortion stigma through creative campaigns, and build practical support networks to support young people who need abortion care. Applicants must:
- Be ages 18-24, and a current student at a 2 year (community college) or 4 year college
- Be part of an existing student organization that wants to take on the Abortion Out Loud campaign as one if its major projects, or be interested in starting a new student organization that will focus its efforts on the Abortion Out Loud campaign
- Organize one large-scale event to mobilize support for abortion access (such as a storytelling event, speak-out, on-campus rally), or legislation related to abortion access (such as a lobby day, phone banking action, etc)
Muslim Youth Leadership Council activists work to counter Islamophobia and anti-Muslim hate, strengthen sexual health and reproductive rights for young Muslims, promote LGBTQ rights and support queer Muslims, and counter anti-Blackness. Applicants must:
- Identify as Muslim and be ages 16-24 and based in the United States
- Support sexual and reproductive health, rights and justice, and be ready to organize in favor of LGBTQ health & rights
- Recognize that this project is based on Muslim youth development in the United States and is not focused on theological perspectives.

- Be an LGBTQ person of color
- Be ages 14-24
- Want to be involved or expand their current involvement with LGBTQ advocacy and organizing in their communities and/or in the digital (social media) space
Student Organizing activists run strategic issue-based campaigns at their schools for a wide variety of issues including racial justice, reproductive justice, LGBTQ rights, workers’ rights, survivors’ rights, and more. If you care about sexual health, reproductive justice and LGBTQ rights, but aren't sure what you want to work on, Student Organizers is for you. Applicants must:
- Be based in the U.S, at a high school, trade school, college or university,
- Be between the ages of 14-24
- Commit to organizing an issue-based campaign for change at your school and/or in your community.
We look forward to seeing the great applications this year!

P.S. - if you're not ages 14-24, can you send this email to someone you think would be a good fit? Or to an organization that works with young people? We need everyone to do their part to help us build this incredible group!
Plus, we find that most of the people we accept were told to apply by a trusted adult, mentor or friend. So send this to someone you think is a rising star today.
