James,
Bernie’s fight to end U.S. complicity in the atrocities in Gaza isn’t stopping. The Senate will vote today on sending billions more in weapons and unconditional aid to Israel — even after Israel has killed over 30,000 Palestinian civilians and at least 200 aid workers.
After the House voted overwhelmingly to continue funding Netanyahu’s war, Bernie laid out his plan to try and stop it in the Senate:
We must urge the Senate to follow Bernie’s lead. NO MORE unconditional aid and weapons for Israel’s atrocities in Gaza. Immediately restore funding for the biggest humanitarian aid provider (UNRWA) in Gaza.
Stand with Bernie: No more U.S. support for Israel’s military as it kills civilians and aid workers, and blocks humanitarian aid from reaching Gaza. End U.S. complicity in Netanyahu’s war!
37 progressive champions including Barbara Lee, AOC, Jim McGovern, Ro Khanna, and Pramila Jayapal voted against unconditional funding for Israel, and we thank them for their courageous votes. It marks the first time that this many Democrats voted against weapons and funding to Israel’s military.
More of our lawmakers should be taking a stand for Peace. We continue to ask Congress and President Biden these questions:
How can you express concern over the grave humanitarian situation in Gaza, with over 1 million Palestinians facing starvation, then send more bombs to Netanyahu’s military? How can you send billions more U.S. dollars to Israel while it bombs civilians and kills aid workers? How can the U.S. continue supporting a regime breaking international law by blocking food, water, and medical aid from reaching Gaza?
Bernie is asking these questions of the Senate, and we urge the Senate to stop sending U.S. taxpayer dollars for Netanyahu’s atrocities in Gaza.
Add your name: Stop sending U.S. weapons to Israel. Peace Now!
When we organize, we win.
