Well this is a new one, John...

FIRST: Marjorie Taylor Greene threatened to oust Speaker Mike Johnson after the House narrowly avoided a government shutdown – which would have done things like leaving military members without pay.

THEN: Some Republicans hinted at changing House rules so that it would take more than 1 tantrum-throwing MAGA maniac to oust the Speaker.

NOW: MAGA cronies have formed a Floor Action Response Team (aka FART) to protect their ability to put our entire country in danger. (Imagine having no Speaker with everything happening with our international allies right now.)

While the acronym is laughable, the dangerous deathgrip MAGA Republicans have on our government is not. For too long, weak leaders like MAGA Mike Johnson and Brian Fitzpatrick have let MTG and Matt Gaetz run amok.

It doesn't have to be like this. We used to have a government that worked – because strong leaders didn't let a few selfish individuals derail everything.

It's time to replace Fitzpatrick with someone who has the strength and leadership experience to put MAGA in check. As a former Army officer, Ashley's ready to do just that.
