The primary election for Maine’s Senate seat is 64 days away but the party bosses in Washington have already decided who their candidate is. Before any Mainers cast their vote, the Democratic establishment has already endorsed my opponent’s campaign.
Political insiders in Washington want to pick a candidate that will best serve their needs. They need someone they can influence and control – and they know that’s not me! I want to serve the people of Maine, not the political establishment.
The crisis we are in today proves that the status quo is not working for the American people. We need new representatives who aren’t afraid to fight for bold changes like Medicare for All. The political establishment is afraid of change, but that’s exactly what we need right now.
