🌱 Environmental Advocacy is our Guiding Light
The Green Party was born out of a spirit of rebellion—a desire to challenge the status quo and create a more sustainable, equitable world. In the 1960s, as young activists rejected the comfortable middle-class life their parents had built, they also embraced radical social and political movements. Among these was the environmental movement, fueled by growing awareness of threats like pesticide use, automobile emissions, oil spills, and industrial waste <[link removed]>.

When workers are exploited, when communities suffer from pollution, and when economic inequality persists, the environment suffers too. It’s impossible to separate the two.

As Greens, we stand with labor unions fighting for fair wages, safe working conditions, and workers’ rights. We know that a healthy environment is intrinsically tied to the well-being of workers. When we fight for a just transition to clean energy, we’re also fighting for job creation and economic justice.
